“On-The-Road Birthday”
Carly painted this ‘oil on canvas’ while she was with Grandpa Hep in Arizona. She drove with Grandpa to Scottsdale for an art show. Carly stayed a few days with Cousin Nicole and then finished out the week with cousins Sammie, Suzie, and Kalia. She flew home solo- to an anxious mom who watched her plane arrive from the terminal window… exhaling a great sigh of relief as the wheels hugged pavement.
Before her road trip duo, Carly and I spent a few days in St. George with Heidi, Amy, and Grandma and Grandpa Hep. We toured the Parade of Homes and ate birthday barbeque ribs (Carly's special request) at Ruby Tuesdays. This is where Amy and I stood as backup to Carly’s “Birthday Bathroom Dance”. Remember that Carly? …wink …wink. Another highlight: we met up with Bryan and Lindsay one night for Brick Oven pizza and pasta.

Farmington Bay Bird Refuge
Several hundred thousand birds (a documented 57 bird species) will visit Farmington Bay during spring migration. Between March and August most birds are either sitting on eggs or attending to young. Farmington Bay is serene and peaceful, but don’t forget your comfy shoes- the trail is a lengthy one!
